Something random...

Conversation between me and Cam:

Me: "What are the dogs barking at now?"
Cam: "Who knows" (looking out the window)
Cam: (Big smile on his face) "There are some people pushing a couch down the street with their car."
Me: "What?!" (Looking out the window to see a Subaru with two people in it going slowly with a couch being pushed on the front end of it and two people walking next to it.)
Unfortunately we didn't notice it in time for me to whip out my camera and get a picture.
Who knew that such strange things happen in Millville?

Being an Aunt

I just wanted to post again about my new neice and how happy I am to be an aunt again. I'm so blessed to be an aunt and I am so lucky to have that interaction with kids that I didn't have for such a long period in my life. What a joy children are. I'm so happy for Tucker and Kenisa and the awesome little family that they have. It's so awesome to see my brother as such an amazing father. I went to visit them again today at the hospital and it was so fun to see Kenley this time with her little sister. She was so sweet to her and so helpful and Tucker and Kenisa are so lucky. Kamrey is already opening her eyes and looking around and it's amazing. I feel kind of bad though, because I leaned in to give her a kiss on her forehead and thought that I about scared her half to death! What an amazing experience it is to spend time with such a little one, though.

Getting to the top

I'm so lucky to have a husband that will go out and do things with me that I enjoy, even if he does'nt necessarily like it. Needless to say, we were both really happy when we finally reached our destination.

Yes, if you can believe it, that is snow!

Onyx's take on the snow.

Here are the beautiful views

Us and the views
A cool tree that we found that had obviously been hit by lightning

Cooling off before getting in the car

The ride home

Cam and I felt exactly like this too. We really got beat up on that hike and I think we'll be taking a break for a while. Not to mention I am currently the color of a lobster, so I don't think that I'll be going out in the sun anytime soon. Thank goodness for Aloe Vera! It turned out to be great and I almost think it might have even been worth the first twenty minutes we spent with Onyx pulling on her leash and making sounds that no living thing should ever make, while everybody at Tony Grove is staring at us like we're horrible people.

Kenley's new baby sister!!

Finally! Here is baby Kamrey. I've been rubbing her head every Monday night for the past 5 weeks and dying for her to get here and she finally made it! 19" long, 7 lbs 3 oz, born at 12:30 pm, and so much hair I don't know what they're gonna do with her!! Congrats Tuck and Kenisa on having yet another beautiful baby girl!!

White Pine Lake

Sarah invited me to go hiking up to White Pine Lake yesterday. Neither of us had ever been there but we had heard great things. We wanted to head out by nine am, but didn't end up leaving until one. We also didn't realize quite how long it was going to take us. I took some fishing gear up there but by the time we got there, we realized that all we had time to do was eat and turn around and hike back. The last thing that I wanted was to be hiking through the wilderness in the dark. But we made really good time and probably could have stuck around up there for quite a while. As you will see, just the pathway there was worth the trip. I'm pretty sure that this was the most beautiful place that I've ever been to in my life. Here are my favorite of the 230 pictures I took up there yesterday.

The Frisbee

Just got some videos of the dogs playing with their new frisbee. Here's Onyx, who rarely will ever try to catch it but if it's coming straight at her face, she will.

Man Lola missed this one big time!

Here's a good one.

Lola's really good at playing frisbee and she absolutely loves it. It definately keeps us entertained too.

Our week

This week we were pretty boring. On Monday we had dinner with my family up at the Shenoah Campground in Blacksmith Fork. Cam and I got to try fly fishing for the first time. We really enjoyed it and think that we might want to pick it up as a hobby. At first we weren't going to try and everyone was fishing, so we borrowed my neices princess fishing pole to play with. I wish you could see it a little better, it looked pretty ridiculous both of us using a tiny fishing pole. And no, we didn't catch anything but it was fun to try.

Other than that our week was mainly just work and then come home and work on the yard.

Yesterday I had a bridal shower for my friend Sarah. We made way too much food and laughed way too hard. It was a blast! Big Thanks! to Cam for being so willing to deal with girls being silly!
