Lagoon!

We took Anders to Lagoon again this year. This was his second year going.
It looks like we're going to be making a tradition of going with the Spillman's every year.
Anders just loves his "Cousin Oscar"... can you tell?

My cute boy on the train... love him to pieces!!!

Cam and Anders getting ready to go on the ladybug drop

I was totally blown away by Anders this year. He showed no hesitation at all which is totally not the norm for this boy. I think he's breaking out of his nervous shell a little bit. He's getting to be quite brave. The whole time we were there he kept begging me to go on the sky coaster that travels over top of the park like a ski lift. My thought on this... NO WAY! But, by the end of the day, after walking clear across the park because I was set on going on either the log flume or Rattle Snake Rapids and then seeing the line and deciding not to, my feet were killing me. So instead of walking clear across the park again we decided we would go on the sky coaster. Anders LOVED it. I on the other hand, was white knuckling it the whole way and terrified. Sometimes I forget that I'm a wee bit scared of heights.
I am a little proud of myself though. I lasted about 3.5 hours at Lagoon in 90 degree weather while 6.5 months pregnant. I sure wish I could have made it longer. We had a great day!

Bear Lake

Oh, how I love Bear Lake. The milkshakes

Good Friends

The cousins (or as Anders calls his little club... The Go-Getters)

Chasing Seagulls

Sand and Sun

Food like you've never tasted (because for some reason hanging out on the beach makes you hungrier then ever)

I love all of the memories that flood back to me when I take my boy out to do things.

This will be a great summer. I have a long list of things that I want to do and this was just the beginning!

Happiness came in 3's

What an amazing few days I've had. First of all to kick off my Monday morning was an ultrasound for baby #2 at 8 am. The moment the screen popped up I knew that I saw boy parts. The tech told me that he was going to start with the head and work his way down. After that he asked me what I thought the baby was. I told him that I was positive before hand that it was a girl, but I was pretty sure that I just saw boy parts. He said, "Really? I didn't see anything." Everything looked great at the ultrasound and when he got to determining the sex, he asked us if we could tell what it was. Definitely a boy! We're so excited that Anders will get to have a little brother. Now if we can only think of a name...

This is our new little "Thinker." He'll be here in September. I can't believe how much this ultrasound picture looks like Anders' ultrasound picture. We're so blessed!!

At 5:30 on Monday afternoon we had Anders 3rd birthday party.

I cannot believe that my little baby is turning 3. Unfortunately though I guess he's really not a baby anymore.
He was so excited about the Jeep that he got for his birthday. And VERY cautious at first. But two days into it he seems really confident about it.

The cutest thing I saw was when he took our little friend Oscar for a ride and after seeing him jerk around when he'd get started, without prompting, Anders put his arm around him and held onto him (even though he was in a seat belt) to make sure that he was okay. He's such a compassionate, sweet and caring kid.

Anders just finished up his first semester of pre-school. He was able to go up to USU's Child Developement Lab. He absolutely adored it and cried almost every time he had to leave school. One of the comments that his teachers made was the same that I said above. She told me that she's amazed by his compassion and if anyone in class starts crying or gets upset he's the first one to run over and try to make them feel better. I'm glad he enjoyed it and I think it was a good experience for him but, I'm still debating on whether we're taking him back or not.

Are you as blown away as I was that they were able to get a picture with this many 2 year olds sitting in one place? Wow!!!

And our 3rd exciting thing for the last few days? My new nephew (son of my favorite little sister) was born yesterday. The doctor told her on Monday that they would start her Tuesday morning. Well she ended up in full blown labor by herself at 3am on Tuesday morning. By 2pm, my beautiful, tiny little sister (have you seen her? She's seriously tiny) gave birth to an 8 lb 9 oz baby. I'm so amazed by her! This is Anders new cousin Axl.

He's so beautiful and we love him to pieces!!!

Crossing our fingers

...hoping that summer is somewhere nearby.

What a beautiful weekend. We made lots of food for family get togethers and to help out some other mom's with dinner.

We played lots of baseball.

Planted our garden, finally!

And put up our tire swing.

I'm pretty sure this will be a summer to remember!

Lookin' for a good time?

Grab a loaf of bread and find some ducks and/or geese.

Lots of running to and fro makes the little ones finally go to bed at a decent time for the first time since daylight savings.

Adding in some hissing from the geese seems to make things ultra hilarious!

Cheap entertainment at its best!

I Always want to remember

some of the hilarious things that Anders is coming up with lately. And not just the funny ones but the sweet ones too.

"Somebody" who shall remain nameless let one rip in front of Anders the other day. Anders said "excuse you." Promptly went up and grabbed "somebody's" hand and said, "lay down, I change your bum."

Cam: Anders what is this? (marker all over the fridge and cupboards)
Anders: "I drawed it."
Cam: What did dad tell you about the markers?
Anders: "only on paper"
Cam: Is this paper?
Anders: "no"
Cam: Then why did you do it?
Anders (throwing his hands in the air): "but, I drawed it!"

Grandma Great was in the kitchen washing dishes. Anders came into the room and grabbed her hand and said, "duck stuck grandma". She walked into the living room and the tv was frozen with a picture of a duck on it.
Anders will often be playing with his toys, stop and say to himself: "hmmm, what do now?"

I walked into his room the other day and he was standing inbetween his time out chair and book shelf (a very narrow space). When I walked in he pointed his finger out the door and yelled, "NO, go in there." He was messing his diaper and wanted to do it in private.

Anders tells me "I love this song" when he hears his favorite songs in the car.

He ALWAYS wants me to kiss it better, and I'm pretty sure that he even fakes owies sometimes just so that I can kiss it better. And after I do, he either says "all better" or "thanks momma."

Whenever Anders lets one rip I say "did you step on a duck?" He usually tells me "uh-huh." The other day he let one rip in front of Cam and said "dad, I squashed a duck!"

Anders squoze a squirting toy full of water in the tub the other day and said, "look mama, I made a rainbow."

He's starting to have conversations with his toys and I wish that he wouldn't pay attention when I whip out the video camera but of course he stops. One of my favorite things is to watch him play when he doesn't think that I'm looking.

Anders always wants family hugs. And sits and says (during the hugs) I love it! I love my family! I love family hugs! It brings tears to my eyes every time!

He puts on his watch and comes up to me and says "momma, what time is it?" I told him it was 7:30. He turned around and started walking away, looked back, pointed at me and said, "momma, you so smart".

This is definitely one of the best times of my life!

Merry Christmas

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas... We sure did!
