It's time

Well after a couple weeks of hearing the words "any time now" from my doctor, one false alarm and many days of wondering, the date is finally set. Did you know that you can actually digress in labor? I didn't but I do now. The first week that I went to my doctor to get checked I was 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. The second week I was 2 cm and 80% effaced. Last Monday I was 3 cm and 80% effaced. This week though, a small 2 but still 80% effaced. Everything seems to be going well but my blood pressure has always been pretty border line and because of that the doctor says that she doesn't want me to go past my due date. So, Thursday it is! I can't believe that I have a date. Granted it doesn't necessarily mean that he will be here on Thursday but I know now that as of this week I will be a mommy! So how do you prepare for or atleast feel prepared for something like this? Um... I don't know. His room is ready to go. We have a few pictures that need hung up but other than that we're good. The car seat is in the car, strapped in and ready to go. All of the bags are packed and in the car ready to go. What's left? Well a couple of very sweet people gave me gift certificates for pedicures for my birthday. So tomorrow I am taking the day off of work and I'm going to go get a manicure and pedicure. I will try and have a nice relaxing day before I go in to have the baby. If I'm going to be realistic about it though, I'm sure that I won't be letting myself relax but I'm going to try! I would love to hear suggestions about good things to have in the hospital, things to do the day before, etc. So if you have any thoughts, feel free to share!
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. It will be the most exciting day of our lives!

Good Luck! You'll do great!

I like to bring a hand mirror so that I could fix my hair and make-up in bed at the hospital.

Your charger for you cell phone, also a journal for Camron to write down the progress of your labor, you will think that you will remember everything but it doesn't take long for you to forget. Can't wait to meet lil Anders. love you

Congrats! A video camera. I made Trev record me telling how we were during, while I was waiting to dialate more. He didn't want to cause I was so drugged up, but I love having it now. I was in labor for a little over 7 hours, but believe it or not, I wasn't bored at all. Between helping Trev fill out birth certificates and talking to nurses. You'll do great and it'll be amazing! You'll be in our prayers!
