Adventures in babysitting

Yesterday my sister in law asked me if I would watch her girls for a couple of hours. I was struck with fear! Watch three kids, with the oldest being two and a half??? But another big part of me thought that it would be an exciting adventure, and one that I should test myself at. So I told her that I would be glad to and with part of me feeling immense fear and the other part of me being excited, we jumped in head first.

And I was so wrong to be afraid! I don't know why I was even nervous at all. They were amazing! Usually if I set Anders down to do anything, he won't necessarily cry, but he'll make a lot of noise so that I know that he wants more attention. But he was just happy to sit and watch his cousins. He seemed amazed by everything that they did.

And the girls just loved all of his toys and had funny playing with them and watching a movie! And Kenley, oh man what an awesome big sister she is! Not to mention a great big cousin! Every few minutes she'd be sitting there playing and out of the blue she'd get up, walk over to Anders and kiss him on the head and then go back to playing again. She was constantly watching out for her sissy and little Anders while she was playing. If Anders happened to drop his binky, Kenley would run right over and help him put it back in!

It turned out to be an awesome fun time!

I often have that same feeling! But then after the kids leave, I think how much easier was to have other kids there to entertain my own. And oh my gosh... his 3 month pictures are SOOOOOO cute! He's so photogenic!

You are such a good Auntie! Sounds like you can handle more, so the next time the girl are over let me know! I drop Kyndra off!
