Leatham!

Leatham was born... two months ago (3 now :) I'm a bit slow...

Here's the story... as well as some random pictures placed between:
On Thursday, Sep 6 at about 11am I started having contractions... nothing big, but they kept coming. At about 5pm they started to get a little bit painful (not much just a little) and were getting more frequent. I called Cam at work and told him what was going on. He told me to "hold on" so that he could get all caught up on all of his work and that he would be done by 7 or 8. I laughed, but the pain wasn't too bad so I told him I would just walk around and try to keep the contractions going until he got off. He came home at about 7:30 and I had been just trying to throw a bag together for the hospital. But there were a few things that I couldn't find. We took Anders to my moms and went to Wal Mart to grab a few last things. The contractions started hitting quite a bit harder while we were at Wal Mart. Cam was freaking out a little bit (i.e. "I'm NOT having a baby at Wal Mart"). I told him we were going to be fine, chill out, we'll make it to the hospital, etc. Made it to the hospital and they got me a room. She hooked me up to the machine that tracks contractions and started asking me questions. A minute into it she had a pager go off in the room and the head nurse told her that she needed to check me immediately because my contractions were so close together. I was only at a 4. So you know, the usual happened, they broke my water, a while later I got my epidural and then the contractions stopped.... and I stalled. I layed in the hospital bed and pretty much just fell asleep until I was overcome with lots and lots of pain. They had checked me at 3:45am and I was dilated to a 5. The pain hit me at about 4:15am, the nurse checked me at again at about 4:30 and I was fully dilated. The doctor made it in a few minutes later and at 4:55 Leatham was born.
At the time we still didn't have a name for him even though there were quite a few up for the running. In the end we went with Leatham and gave him Grandma Darley's maiden name as his first name. I'm so happy we did. It certainly has grown on him and I couldn't imagine it being anything else.
We are so glad that he's here! Anders is too! He's so cute with his little brother, and doesn't seem to be able to leave him alone!
