This weekend
Cam and I also decided that crib or no, this weekend we're going to start setting up the babies room. It's starting to get pretty full with baby stuff already and it's so fun! Okay I have to admit it! I found a pair of boys shoes that I loved and bought them. They were the last ones and had been discontinued and I had to have them. Besides I know that my brother's having a baby boy so if it ends up being a girl I can give them to my new nephew.
We're going to turn our computer room into the babies room and I can't wait. So we're moving the computer and the bookshelves into the living room. The only problem is that the room doesn't have a closet. So now I'm trying to decide if we need one and if so what I am going to do as an alternate. If you have any suggestions, let me know.
So I found out yesterday that in about a monthmy nephew will be here. The baby wasn't due until December 8th but my sister-in-law has gestational diabetes and the baby already weighs 5 lbs!, so they're going to be starting her on the 14th of November. The day before our anniversary! I'm excited to have a nephew and hope that everything goes well for them.

Fall
And here's our wonderful pumpkins. As I said in the first post, I knew it was really late in the year, but I'm still hoping that they'll turn orange before Halloween so that we can use them. They're getting pretty big!
So hopefully we'll get some jack 'o lanterns out of them in time for Halloween.
Yes fall is my favorite time of the year, but the one draw back?
The raking of the leaves. We have seven huge trees in our yard that are so great for shade in the summer, and make it totally worth it, but it's not very funny raking all of those leaves up when the time comes. Looks like it's about time for us to start that again. Atleast they don't fall all year.
I just love the crisp chill in the air in the fall as well as the smells that I associate with it, like the smell of raking leaves, the mountain air and of course pumpkin pie and spiced apple cider. There's no better time in the year than now. My favorite are the rainy days when everything's glistening and the leaves are all changing. It makes me want to curl up with a good book and that's one of my favorite things to do.

Heartbeats, Joy, Sickness and Cribs

The top picture is in 3D and the bottom one is just your normal 2D image. Hearing that little heart beat was the most touching and life changing sound that I've ever heard. It absolutely feels real now. I can't wait! Cam's so excited too, I love it. He's been so involved and helpful and I just couldn't imagine my life without him. I am one lucky chick!
Poor Cam has been so sick for the last week. He's had a really bad cold that he's been trying to get over and I've been trying to take care of him the best that I can but I have also been sick. I guess I spoke a little too soon last week when I said I really haven't been that sick. Because since last Thursday I have had pretty much constant morning sickness. The worst so far is this morning on my way to work. I had to pull over three times and I was 20 minutes late. It was not fun! But the doctor said that right now is usually the peaking time for morning sickness and it should cool down from here. I sure hope so! For the first little while it was kind of fun when I felt sick, I'd just laugh and be excited and it was fine. But I think it was Saturday that I finally said, okay this is not fun anymore! When I was sick at first, all I had to do was eat and I would be fine. Now I feel like all that I do all day is eat. I usually feel better for about five minutes after I eat and then I get sick again. Yes it's absolutely worth it, but no it's not very fun. I've also been waking up at 3am every morning, and I'm talking wide awake and for the last few days I've had a hard time falling asleep too so I haven't slept very much. We've been pretty busy lately but tonight I will be napping as soon as I get home!
So on labor day Cam's parents came into town and bought us a crib that we liked at Stork Landing as seen here:

They said that it was two weeks out and as soon as it got in they would call and set up a time for delivery. So weeks have passed and last Monday I called them and they said that the manufacturer hadn't made enough and they were supposed to be getting more by Tuesday, Sep 30 at the very latest and again they would call me as soon as they were in. So of course, when I didn't hear from them yesterday, I called to find out was going on. I know that our baby isn't going to be here for a while, but I'm just really surprised that they don't call and give updates on the status, where it's already paid for. So yesterday they told me that they've had some problems with the company because a) they just got bought out by a different company and b) they are having problems keeping up with orders. So they're hoping, but not promising, that they will be here by the 10th. Again, I know that our baby is not due for a long time but I just can't believe how unprofessional they are. You would think that they would atleast call us and let us know what's going on.
Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention, they moved my due date up. After measuring baby they put my due date at April 30, a few days earlier, so I'm excited!
So I made a slip of the tongue the other day at my parents house and said, "it's a boy, I know it's a boy". The second those words came out of my mouth, I was like what are you thinking? I don't even know where it came from or why I said it. I have not even an inkling of what it is. And then something weird happened when we were having the ultrasound. When the doctor went to measure, she clicked with the cursor at the head and dragged to the tail end and when she clicked on the tail end the word "girl" flashed for a second. I don't know what that was all about but it made me wonder if it was some kind of premonition. In all honesty, I have no idea what we're having and it really doesn't matter either way to me, but I would like to know. It sounds like we'll be finding out the sex a week or two before christmas, so we're very excited and can't wait for that! It'll be a long process but we're excited and can't wait for baby to come!
